About the Bay Duiker (Cephalophus dorsalis)

The bay duiker is a small nocturnal antelope species found along the eqatorial forest belt of central and southern Africa. The bay is an understandably shy animal, small in stature and low on the rainforest totem pole. Its coat is usually very thick, and dark brown in color, with a black stripe stretching from its nose, along its spine, to the tip of the tail. The bay duiker prefers to hide in hollowed out trees, tree trunks and thick brush where it can scope out its surroundings and spot delicious vegetation for their families.
