Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is an incredible African Tsessebe skull and horns painted taxidermy mount, featuring an incredible set of horns, exceeding the SCI Gold Medal requirement with a score of 50 0/8". Combined with a great skull (including the full nose bone), that has been professionally cleaned and painted with a really cool hammered bronze finish, this item earns our Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item's featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

- There is a hanger already attached to the back of this item.

- It will hang on a single properly anchored drywall screw.

About the African Tsessebe (Damaliscus lunatus)

The African Tsessebe (aka Sassaby) can be found throughout mid to southern African. It can grow up to 90 inches in height weighing nearly 300 lbs. Males can grow horns up to approx 15-16 inches while females grow horns reaching 14 inches. The Tsessebe has a beautiful chestnut brown body coloration with darker black areas on both the tail and forehead. Their back bellies are an off-white with similar coloration and some yellowing found on the hind legs. Tsessebe are herbivores that primarily graze in open plains and grasslands as well as lightly wooded savannas and rolling uplands. Tsessebe often feed in the early morning and late afternoon, spending the middle of the day resting, digesting and looking for water.
