Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is a phenomenal Blue Marlin Taxidermy fish mount, posed with a medium arch facing the viewer's right side. This marlin measures 10 foot 3 inches from bill to tail, making it a monster! It is evident that the artist took their time to ensure every shade of color was perfect, rightfully so since the beauty of fish is so hard to capture perfectly, but they managed to do just that. The fins are in perfect condition, featuring no chips or cracks. The taxidermy work is breathtaking and was done by a master taxidermist. All of this combined has helped this item earn our World Class™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

- This item is a reproduction, meaning no real animal parts were used in making it.

- There is a hanger already attached to the back of this item.

- It will hang on a single large headed bolt (approved to hold the weight of this item) anchored into a stud.

About the Atlantic Blue Marlin (Makaira nigricans)

The Atlantic Blue Marlin is a large species of marine fish with an expanding "sail-like" dorsal fin which resembles that of the Sailfish. It is found in temperate ocean waters of the Atlantic Ocean throughout the Caribbean and eastern coast of Mexico. The Marlin is metallic in appearance, typically blue, grey or silver in coloration, darker at the top, with a white-grey underbelly and blue striping on its sides. The Marlin is well known for its elongated upper jaw, which protrudes into a long pointed bill. When extended, the fish's dorsal fin is often as tall as the 3-meter length of the sailfish's body.
