This is a giant Kodiak Brown Bear full skull mount. This skull came from a HUGE Kodiak Brown Bear and is in good condition. As typically encountered with bear skulls from old bears this skull has missing and cracked teeth from years of roaming in Alaska. The skull achievies an impressive SCI Silver Medal Score of 27 4/16". These combined factors earn this piece a respectable Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

About the Kodiak Brown Bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi)
The Kodiak Brown Bear has become a distinguished subspecies due to their island habitat isolation. They get their name from the island they inhabit, Kodiak Island and Admiralty Islands. Living on this island for so long without any immigration or emigration, they have become genetically diversified, thus classifying them as a new subspecies of Brown Bear. This bear is, in fact, the largest known subspecies of Brown Bear weighing up to 1500 lbs.
