About the India Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra)

The Blackbuck is a beautiful member of the antilope family found in India and parts of Nepal (though it has been introduced to the United States and Argentina as well). At first glance, the Blackbuck looks “dipped", as it's lower body is cream in color, while the upper half of the male is chocolate brown, the female more of a golden caramel. The Blackbuck's face is typically brown with a ivory-colored fur outlining it’s large, black eyes. The males are instantly recognizable by their spiraling, twisting black and tan horns which grow outward in a gorgeous "v" shape.
