This is an AWESOME life-size Alaskan Peninsular Brown Bear taxidermy mount, posed standing upright on a custom habitat base! This massive bear features incredibly thick dark hair and soft fur, REAL claws, custom habitat, and a choice of five separate wood/finish options for the base of the mount. The taxidermist behind this bear was a real master and was able to capture an incredibly life-like pose and an intense demeanor and expression only attainable through a lifetime of artistic mastery. All these features combine with masterful taxidermy craftsmanship to earn our World Class™overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.
- As shown in the pictures this bears finished wood base and toe kick can be changed out to any of the five options shown. Please contact the store with your preferred choice.
- This bear measures 85" from its heel to the top of its head. On the base, this pieces overall height is 110". Over 9' (squared) bear.
- Great for a floor, mezzanine, or entryway.
About the Brown Bear (Ursus arctos)
The Brown Bear of Alaska is what natives will refer to as coastal bears. These bears are found feeding on salmon and other salmonids along freshwater streams and dense grasslands. Due to this abundance of food and nutrients, they are able to grow larger than the inland Grizzly Bear. These bears are found along the coastal regions of Northwestern Canada into Alaska and can be found in parts of the lower 48.
