If the animal fails to meet the majority of these standards, It will be moved to the ‘Excellent’ category. This category is for the collector who wants a Premium quality mount to add to their collection. 'Excellent' - To be ranked in this category the animal needs to be an ‘Excellent’ example of its specie in the majority of categories such as: horn size/quality, hair quality, hide quality, color, size, and overall Taxidermy Quality. Generally speaking, only minor scars or slight hair flaws will be seen in this category. If the animal fails to meet the majority of these standards, It will be moved to the ‘Very Nice’ category. Generally speaking, animals in this category may one or two range marks / scars in the hair, average size horns, average quality hair, and average taxidermy quality. Generally speaking, animals in this category may have several range marks / scars in the hair, may have smaller sized horns, lesser quality hair, and lesser quality taxidermy. If the animal fails to meet the majority of these standards, It will be moved to a poor categoty - however, we do not sell or stock items in that bad of shape.... This category is for the collector looking for the best possible price while still getting a Fair overall quality mount. ‘Vintage’ - To be ranked in this category the animal will be a vintage / old mount. Vintage items may be of good quality, but have faded from being hung in the sunlight, have discolored from things like smoke or they simply just have that vintage style 'look' to them from the days of old. They may range from good to less than average or patchy hair, good to less than average horns, may have scars, etc… Please read the listing and review the pictures for a more exact description of each particular animal. This category is most often purchased by those looking for a classic vintage look or for decorating a Bar for example, in which the mount will be hung away from very close viewing and may be subject to continued smoke staining for instance, making the purchase of a high quality mount un-needed.
