Description of Taxidermy For Sale
This is a fantastic life-size Sharp-tailed Grouse taxidermy mount. It is posed perched on a wooden base, facing to the right and looking slightly to it's right side out into the room. The plumage is in outstanding condition, and the coloration is fantastic. All this combined with expert taxidermy craftsmanship earns this item our Excellent Plus™ overall rating. All applicable measurements are included to make sure this item will fit into the space you intend to display it.
- There is already a hanger attached to the back of this item.
- The item will hang on a properly anchored drywall screw.
About the Sharp-tailed Grouse (Tympanuchus phasianellus)
The Sharp-tailed Grouse is a medium sized, non-migratory bird found throughout the open parries of North America. Its range stretches across the northern states of the U.S. into Canada and up through Alaska. Both males and females have shorter tails with two tail feathers that are longer in the middle, giving their tail a pointed or 'sharp' look, for which they get their namesake. Their habitat consists of open prairies and fields, with patches of shrubs or woods near the edges.
