This is an incredible life-size Kodiak Island Brown Bear taxidermy mount, posed standing on it's hind legs and looking out into the room. This bear squared over 9 1/2 feet and had a skull measurement of 26 4/16" ranking it as the 68th largest recorded in SCI. This massive bear features incredible overall hair quality, REAL 3" claws, and a great custom habitat base for display. All this combines with terrific taxidermy craftsmanship to earn our prestigious Premier™ overall rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space. Also included is a picture of a 5'10" man for comparison purposes. As you can see in the side by side picture, this bear is giant!

About the Kodiak Brown Bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi)
The Kodiak Brown Bear has become a distinguished subspecies due to their island habitat isolation. They get their name from the island they inhabit, Kodiak Island and Admiralty Islands. Living on this island for so long without any immigration or emigration, they have become genetically diversified, thus classifying them as a new subspecies of Brown Bear. This bear is, in fact, the largest known subspecies of Brown Bear weighing up to 1500 lbs.
