Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is a phenomenal Quebec Labrador Caribou taxidermy shoulder mount, posed in a semi-upright position looking slightly to the viewers left out into the room. This caribou features a massive set of antlers which achieve an SCI Silver Medal with a score of 370 4/8". This double wide caribou features a 60 2/8" inside spread, which is truly unbelievable and breathtaking and by far the widest we have ever had with a caribou. The hair and hide are both in exceptional condition which is rare with caribou because of their coarse hair that is easy to ruin. All of this combined with the magnificent taxidermy craftsmanship earns this item our Premier Plus Star™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item's featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

About the Quebec- Labrador Caribou (Rangifer tarandus caribou)

The Quebec-Labrador Caribou is found in the Canadian tundra of Quebec and Labrador. These elk are often a light brown with a white neck and mane that contrast the brown body. This specific species of caribou is known to have a high abundance of double shovels. Males weigh am average of 350-450 pounds with an average lifespan of about 15 years. Their primary food source is lichens with their second choice being cranberry shrubs. During the summer months caribou can consume nearly 12 pounds of food on a daily basis.
