About the Vervet Monkey (Chlorocebus pygerythrus)
The vervet monkey is a medium-large sized monkey found through eastern Africa. The vervet has a brownish-olive fur coloration, and their tails are often longer than their bodies, finished with a black tip. The vervet monkey is at home in the trees and prefers to feed on fruits, seeds, and insects. They have small black hands, feet, and faces, surrounded by a grey/white fur along with their heads and cheeks. The vervet will rarely be spotted alone since they usually commune in troops, which can number from 12 to 50 individuals.
