Description of Taxidermy For Sale

For sale is a nice Whitetail Deer european style skull & antler mount. The upper skull is in fair condition with just the nose bone missing near the tip. The Antlers of this deer are quite unusual and unique, with a "third antler" growing on the deer's right side. The left side main beam appears to have chipped off naturally. This skull has been professionally cleaned and preserved, earning our Niceā„¢ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

- There is a hanger already attached to the back of the antlers.

- It will hang on a single drywall screw.

About the Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

The Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is one of the most commonly recognized animals in all of north america. The male whitetail deer is often referred to as a 'Buck" and can grow to 300 lbs producing antlers that are fully grown and shed once each year. Whitetail deer are hunted in nearly every state throughout the U.S. with trophy class antlered males being the most desirable. Their habitat includes everything from the open prarie to deep forests, making them extremely adaptable to a variety of surroundings. Whitetail deer have a specialized stomach that allows them to eat plants, shoots and grasses as well as various mushrooms that are otherwise toxic to humans.
