Description of Taxidermy for Sale

For sale, we have a rare melanistic swamp buck mounted in a life-size standing position. When an animal is melanistic, it has dark hair and pigmentation, known as melanism (the opposite of albinism). This swamp buck has excellent hair with the aforementioned darker coloration and a terrific set of antlers that achieve an SCI Silver Medal Score of 167 7/8". The antlers came from a buck that was harvested in 1955 in Wisconsin and comes with the original medal Wisconsin DNR tag to prove it! All this, combined with masterful craftsmanship, earns this item our Excellent Plus™ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item's featured attribute sizes, scores, etc.

- The antlers came from a buck that was harvested in Wisconsin in 1955.

- This buck is part of our Wisconsin Legacy Collection.

- Great for a floor, mezzanine, entryway, ledge, or shelf.
