Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is a great Common Reedbuck shoulder taxidermy mount. It is posed with the head upright looking slightly to its right side. It has nice hair and impressive horns for its species, exceeding the level required for a SCI Bronze Medal with a score of 21 0/8". The taxidermy work is also very well done, earning this item our prestigious Excellentâ„¢ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item's featured attribute sizes, scores, etc...

About the Common Reedbuck (Redunca arundinum)

The mountain reedbuck can be found in the mountainous forest regions of Africa, where its diet includes both grasses and leaves. The mountain reedbuck stands around 30 inches at the shoulder, and weighs up to 65 lbs. It has tan/grey hair with a white colored underbelly and redish tan head and shoulders. The male has horns that grow to up to approx. 14 inches in length growing upwards and curving slightly forwards. It forms small herds of around five to 30 individuals depending upon the time or year, usually including a single mature adult male. Adolescent males are often forced away from their herds and create bachelor groups. They are diurnal, but prefer to rest during the extreme heat of the midday sun.
