This is an outstanding North American brown bear taxidermy rug mount. This rug features an open mouth and a full realistic mounted head. The hide and hair of this bear are of exceptional color and quality. This bear has a very unique and desired color phase, in that it is a black grizzly. For this reason, this bear has been given a star designation for rarity, desirability, and uniqueness. This bear is backed in a thick fabric rug material and the border is trimmed in two layers of accenting chocolate colored felt to provide durability and protection against wear. All these features combined with masterful taxidermy craftsmanship earns this bear our Premier Star™ overall quality rating. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

- This item is meant to lay flat on the floor, or can be fastened to the wall (fasteners not included).

- We do not recommend heavy foot traffic, especially with dirty shoes or boots...

About the Kodiak Brown Bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi)

The Kodiak Brown Bear has become a distinguished subspecies due to their island habitat isolation. They get their name from the island they inhabit, Kodiak Island and Admiralty Islands. Living on this island for so long without any immigration or emigration, they have become genetically diversified, thus classifying them as a new subspecies of Brown Bear. This bear is, in fact, the largest known subspecies of Brown Bear weighing up to 1500 lbs.
