About the Indian Nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus)

The Nilgai (Blue Bull) is the largest of the Asian antelope species, and can be found in it's native habitat almost exclusively in India (introductions to other areas of the world have also proven successful). They are usually found on farmlands and wooded brush areas, and are typically built more like an ox than a stereotypical antelope. Their bodies are usually slate grey/blue to brown in color, and they grow short manes and neck-beards, while the males have small horns that grow upwards in a bent-like fashion.
