Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is a great Common Reedbuck horn plaque taxidermy mount. The horns come with a tan leather covering on a shield shaped wood plaque. This reedbuck has giant horns exceeding the level required for a SCI Gold Medal with a score of 18 6/8". This horn plaque earns our prestigious Premierâ„¢ overall quality rating. All applicable measurements and dimensions are provided to help ensure this item will fit within your intended space, as well as meet expectations regarding the item's featured attribute sizes, scores, etc...

About the Eastern Bohor Reedbuck (Redunca redunca wardi)

The Eastern Bohor reedbuck can be found in Eastern Africa, where its diet includes both grasses and leaves. The reedbuck stands around 30 inches at the shoulder, and weighs up to 65 lbs. It has tan/grey to reddish colored hair with a white colored underbelly and redish tan head and shoulders. The male has horns that grow to up to approx. 9 inches in length growing upwards and curving slightly forwards. It forms small herds of around five to 30 individuals depending upon the time or year, usually including a single mature adult male. Adolescent males are often forced away from their herds and create bachelor groups. They are diurnal, but prefer to rest during the extreme heat of the midday sun.
