About the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx)

The lynx is the "lone wolf" of the feline family. It is typically found across the northern forests of North America. Other members of the Lynx family can be found throughout Europe and Asia. The Lynx hunts at night, using its exceptional hearing and eyesight, and avoiding contact with anything other than it's young. It has large, wide paws with thick fur that help act as a "snowshoe" to keep the lynx from sinking down into the deep snow during the winter months. Lynx are carnivores who prefer birds and small mammals like hare for sustenance.
