Description of Taxidermy For Sale

This is a great Himalayan Tahr rug mount. The hide and hair are in good overall condition. Overall it is a good mount, earning our Excellent™ quality rating, mainly as a result of the scars mentioned previously, but not because of lower taxidermy quality or overall craftsmanship. Take advantage of this items lower price, especially if you plan to display this Tahr in a place such as a restaurant, lodge or bar, where it would likely be hung out of peoples reach, and therefore not close enough to see imperfections. All applicable dimensions are included to help ensure this item will fit within your intended display space.

- There is a hanger already attached to the back of this item.

- It will hang on a single properly anchored drywall screw.

Animal description

About the Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus)

The Himalayan tahr (or the common tahr) is a large ungulate species found throughout the diverse mountainous regions of the Himalayas. The tahr's coat is usually shaggy brown or reddish-brown in appearance. They have small heads with large black eyes and curved horns that grow backward, preventing fatal damage to the tahr during the male's "headbutting" ritual. The tahr has a toed hoof with a rubber-like grip which aids them in navigating the smooth, slippery mountainous surfaces of their habitat.
